Invitation to Bid: University of Florida, Timber Sale

Sealed, per-unit (pay-as-cut) offers are being accepted for the sale and harvesting of merchantable pine and hardwood timber at the Austin Cary Forest at 10625 NE Waldo Road, Waldo, FL 32609 in Alachua County described under SALE AREAS and identified on Figure 1.
The total sale area is approximately 74 acres composed of three pine stands:
2002 Planted Slash/Loblolly (36 acres) to be fourth-row thinned by operator-select, with two demonstration areas marked (approximately one-acre each) to provide guidance. Among pines to be removed, average density is estimated at 108 trees per acre, with an average DBH of 6.8” and merchantable height (4” top) of 48’.

Real Estate Specialist

The University of Florida is hiring a Real Estate Specialist!

This position is in the Office of Real Estate (ORE) and will be responsible for working with the Assistant Vice President and Assistant Director in managing the real estate portfolio that provides long term benefit to the University of Florida, including its colleges, departments, and affiliates. ORE supports the mission of the University of Florida and its affiliates. The office is responsible for acquisitions and sales of real estate; formulation of real estate strategies; negotiation of real estate transactions; property management; marketing existing and future University of Florida real estate/land developments; managing and tracking existing assets; overseeing state land issues; and executing on the real estate aspects of economic development initiatives.
This critical position will perform a variety of the activities undertaken by ORE and be exposed to multiple real estate functions and disciplines within a fast-paced environment.
