Trevor Schneider, Assistant Vice President

Trevor Schneider is charged with the leadership and strategic direction for the Office of Real Estate (ORE). ORE is responsible for the acquisitions and sales of real estate for the University and affiliated entities, formulation of real estate strategies, negotiation of real estate lease transactions, marketing existing and future University real estate / land developments, managing and tracking existing assets, overseeing state land issues, and executing on the real estate aspects of economic development initiatives. Mr. Schneider joined the University of Florida in December 2018 with more than 20 years of commercial real estate experience.

Mr. Schneider holds a Master of Science Degree in Corporate Real Estate from Georgia State University, J. Mack Robinson College of Business in Atlanta, Georgia. Mr. Schneider completed his undergraduate work at the University of Kentucky in Lexington, Kentucky where he received his Bachelor of Business Administration Degree in Finance and Economics. Mr. Schneider served honorably in the United States Air Force and has completed comprehensive foreign language studies at the Presidio of Monterey / Defense Language Institute in Monterey, California.


THERESA JONES, REAL ESTATE OPERATIONS MANAGER

Theresa joined the Office of Real Estate in February 2016. Theresa is responsible for the overall management, administration and operation of the ORE office. As the office has grown and our real estate services now extend to the entire UF enterprise, Theresa also assists with the real estate leasing needs of UF departments and direct support of the property management functions of the University of Florida Development Corporation (the Ayers building and associated parking lots). In addition, Theresa has been an integral part of the team to sell real estate gifts received by the UF Foundation. From the initial sales listing through closing, Theresa is directly involved in obtaining and reviewing listing and sales agreements, preparing the properties for sale, managing the properties along the way, and helping to ensure the return to the Foundation has been maximized.

Theresa is a licensed Real Estate professional in the State of Florida. She has over 28 years of experience within the University of Florida system.

Theresa, Chuck, and their dog ‘Chili Pepper’ spend their spare time hiking around Florida State Parks and relaxing at their cabin on Lake Santa Fe.


DAVID SOOY, FACILITIES MAINTENANCE SPECIALIST

David has over 10 years’ experience in the medical and institutional building maintenance field. As a Facilities Maintenance Specialist, David is responsible for the day-to-day operation of the Ayers building and its mechanical systems, as well as overseeing the security team, grounds maintenance, parking lots and environmental services. David brings to the team a unique skillset from his vast experience in construction, maintenance, service, and property management. Before his employment at UF, David worked for a national commercial real estate brokerage and property management firm and has been directly involved with the Ayers building for over 5 years. Since his first day at UF, David has provided a unique insight into the inner workings of the building and has proven to be an asset to the real estate team.

Being raised in Florida, in his spare time David enjoys most outdoor activities, including raising chickens and gardening.


CANDRA MCFARLAND, REAL ESTATE SPECIALIST

Candra became a Gator in August 2024. As a Real Estate Specialist, Candra supports the University of Florida in all aspects of Real Estate including leasing, acquisition, and property management.

Prior to joining the ORE team, Candra managed the largest portfolio of industrial real estate in Savannah, GA of about 8.6 million square feet. In Savannah, Candra’s role as a Real Estate and Customer Experience Manager included overseeing building operations, customer relations, and project management.  Candra started her career in the commercial real estate industry in Atlanta, GA after earning a Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of West Georgia. She then jumped right into real estate, gaining exposure to many commercial real estate product types in Atlanta. A majority of her career was spent specializing in industrial warehouse property management.

In her spare time, Candra and her husband Marcus enjoy DIY projects around the house and traveling.


DYLAN THUE-JONES, REAL ESTATE SPECIALIST

Dylan Thue-Jones joined the University of Florida Office of Real Estate in 2024 as a Real Estate Specialist. In this role, he is responsible for the acquisition and sale of real estate for the University and its affiliates, developing real estate strategies, negotiating lease transactions, overseeing current and future land developments, managing existing assets, and assisting with state land issues.

Before joining the University of Florida, Dylan spent 20 years as a real estate broker in Gainesville, FL, where he facilitated a wide range of transactions, including commercial deals, land sales, leases, and new construction projects. He also has extensive experience in business development, site selection, and managing build-to-suit projects. Outside of work, Dylan enjoys spending time with his wife and three kids, coaching one of his children’s sports teams, cheering on the Gators, or playing a round of golf.


STEPHANIE GILES, ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT I

As an Administrative Assistant I, Stephanie is responsible for many of the foundational everyday tasks in the Office of Real Estate. She edits and updates the website, maintains leasing database information, and supports maintenance, security, and property management staff in the Ayers building. Stephanie brings a diverse skill set to the team to provide flexible support in achieving departmental goals.

Stephanie grew up in Gainesville, FL. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in English from the University of Florida and a Master’s of Science in Information from Florida State University. Her studies focused on research, literary analysis, and information organization. Prior to joining the Office of Real Estate at the University of Florida, she worked in administration at a property management company.

In her free time, she and her husband Brian are often found hiking, swimming, or camping at one of the Florida springs.


JADEN NOSSE, REAL ESTATE INTERN

Jaden is from St. Augustine, FL, and recently joined the team in February of 2024. He is passionate about commercial real estate and has been eagerly taking on projects to gain experience and assist the team. Before joining our team, he worked as a leasing agent and a maintenance technician at a property management firm. He is currently working on his bachelor’s degree in business administration, specializing in real estate. He is also in the Innovation Academy at UF. Jaden plans to join UF’s MSRE program after completing his undergraduate degree to better prepare him for a career in commercial real estate. Jaden is most interested in acquisitions, development, and portfolio management.

Jaden’s favorite hobbies are surfing, snowboarding, freediving, reading, and managing his resin 3d printing company.
